A nose around Hastings pier

After a long period of fundraising and hard work, Hastings pier re-opened to the public earlier this week, just in time for the holiday weekend and Hastings annual Jack in the green celebrations.

We popped on there earlier today to have a nose around and of course,to do a bit of photography. Got a few candid shots I’m pleased with too.

For more info go to http://hastingspier.org.uk/ or just get yourself down there to take a look. It’s bank holiday weekend, so no excuses!

Btw, if like me you’re into good coffee, then it’s definitely worth grabbing a cup at Billycan coffee. Situated on the left and serving coffee by Union Hand roasted. Nice!

Lola’s ghost

Lola’s ghost (7 Images)

I took a brief wander around a few streets earlier today and came across this little gem. A decaying independent ice cream van!

This is my kind of heaven, photographically speaking.

Unfortunately I could not get a head on shot as there was a car parked right in front, just inches away. Not much to see on the inside either as it’s filled to the brim with crap.

Oh, and if you were thinking of looking up the web address seen on the rear of the van, don’t bother. It’s a long gone site that is currently occupied by a placeholder with porn links! Such a shame.

Gone but no longer forgotten.
