Stade is the result of 10 years photographing the fisherman’s beach of Hastings, UK. Its focus is that of the area as opposed to the fishermen themselves and serves as a document of how the beach is used.

In early 2018, a small booklet was produced which features all the photographs seen here. The intro to the book is as follows;

“The Stade is a shingle beach in Hastings Old Town, East Sussex, England. It has been used for beaching boats for more than a thousand years. It s now home to Europe’s largest fleet of beach-launched fishing boats.”
