This is the first cradle (the big round bit) to be built in the UK and can be found at the Boyley skatepark, White rock gardens, Hastings.
The park is named after local BMX rider Richard Ball (known as Boyley) who died in a motorcycle accident in 2002.

One of three old forgotten classic cars all sitting neatly in a row just on the outskirts of Hastings town centre. This is the third or fourth time I’ve visited these, leaving a few months in between to see how much further they have deteriorated.
Processed using Topaz B&W Effects 2 and Lightroom 5. B&W Effects has a Transparency slider which lets you reveal some of the original colour, which for this image I felt would give a more forlorn look and feel.
Got up early today to take a photo walk around Hastings. I decided to wander up to the local skate park as I’ve not really taken the time before to go shoot there. Took a bunch of shots before I found this piece of busted board, happy with my find I proceeded to take a number of compositions with it. This is one of my faves.
A word of warning though, Chuck Taylors’ are not best suited to slightly wet concrete, as yours truly went and slipped and bashing camera and knee. Luckily I seem to have gotten away with minimal damage to my camera but not so for my jeans which now have a lovely hole in.

As much as I love to shoot a colourful landscape, so too do I love to shoot a gritty mono.
A walk around the backstreets is well worth the effort as it can lead to some interesting shots, if mundane and dirty are your kind of thing.
Its amazing what you can find when you go off the beaten track.

A staircase I’ve walked past so many times but decided to shoot one day last year. Gritty mono seems to suit the drab look.

Taken while walking around a graveyard close to our holiday cottage during our visit to Northumberland.
Many of the graves were around 100 years old or more, an awful lot of them belonged to children and infants. Such was the way of life back then but still sad to see and think about.
