The ghost of Cowdray

The ghost of Cowdray

This is the spectacular Cowdray ruins in West Sussex, England.

My friend and I stopped here briefly whilst en route to the location of the truck featured a couple of posts back. The ruin is sadly now closed until some time next year and so we had to settle for exterior shots only.

Continuing with my muted colour trend, I chose to process this using Topaz B&W Effects and Lightroom 5.

October Topaz Clarity offer

Hi, all. Just a quick post to let you all know that for the rest of October Topaz Labs are offering 25% off of their Clarity plugin. To take advantage of this offer just use the code octclarity at checkout.

Here is what Topaz has to say; “There are a lot of ways to increase depth and definition in a photo, but many methods will leave you with unnatural-looking contrast. The intelligent technology behind Clarity allows you to enhance contrast without over-emphasizing transitions between light and dark areas. This unique approach essentially eliminates the common problem of halos, noise, and artifacts.
Using the adjustment sliders, you can easily strengthen an image’s levels of micro, mid range, and overall contrast. You can even do this selectively by taking advantage of the masking module. With Topaz Clarity, your images will never lack visual impact!”

Just click here to take you straight to the Clarity web page.
