‘Convergence’
Under the bridge.
Is where we’ll meet.
Out of sight.
A brief encounter.
It’s all we need.
Business?
Pleasure?
It’s not for you to know.
Photographer
My wife and I went to see thrash metal legends Anthrax, at the Concorde 2 in Brighton last night. They ripped it! We were there purely as audience members and I went armed with only a premium compact. Got some half decent shots nonetheless.
No need for me to do a review, suffice to say that if you love Anthrax, they still got it!
Quite fancy having a go at event photography one day.
‘The past inside the present’
Pevensey castle in silhouette against a moonlit sky.
I took this image last night just after leaving work. As I worked on it, a line from the track ‘Music is Math’ by Boards of Canada entered my head. It fits perfectly.
I have stood and watched for a thousand years.
Through war and peace.
Through hot summer days and cold winter nights.
As time erodes my shell.
Many stories I could tell.
I am the past inside the present.
Silent.
Stoic.
Words by me.
‘All that glisters’
“All that glisters is not gold;
Often have you heard that told:
Many a man his life has sold
But my outside to behold:
Gilded tombs do worms enfold
Had you been as wise as bold,
Your in limbs, in judgment old,
Your answer had not been in’scroll’d
Fare you well: your suit is cold.’ Cold, indeed, and labour lost: Then, farewell, heat and welcome, frost!”
― William Shakespeare, The Merchant of Venice
